KALEmon Smoothie

1 cup kale, chopped

1 apple, cored and seeded, skin on

1 lemon, peeled, seeds intact

1 cup water

1 cup yogurt or kefir of your choice

blend apple and water together for 1 minute.

add remaining ingredients and blend well.

add more water or yogurt if needed.

Pina Colada Smoothie

1 cup coconut milk

1/2 cup cultured coconut milk or coconut milk yogurt

1/3 cup shredded coconut, lightly packed

2 cups frozen pineapple

1 t vanilla extract, optional

a few ice cubes, optional

add all ingredients to your Vitamix and blend until smooth.

So Delicious offers cultured coconut milk products. Visit their website for more information, including coupon offers.

If you can’t find cultured coconut milk in your area, use the cultured milk product of your choice.

Make it green: add a handful or two of cooked but cooled spinach. Add enough milk until it reaches your desired consistency.

Minty Smooth

1/2 cup prepared mint tea, cold

1 cup plain kefir or yogurt of your choice

1tbs honey

handful of fresh mint leaves

a few ice cubes, optional

place the mint in your hand and give it a good smack (seriously) to gently release the oils without disturbing the chlorophyll (it can make mint bitter).

add the mint to the Vitamix container followed by the remaining ingredients.

blend until smooth.

PB Banana Smoothie

1 frozen banana cut into chunks

3 tbs peanut butter

1 c milk of your choice

1 t vanilla

Add all ingredients to your Vitamix in the order listed.

Blend until smooth.

Apple Cranberry Smoothie

1 apple of your choice, cored, skin on

1/2 cup cranberries, fresh or frozen

1 cup yogurt or kefir of your choice

add all ingredients to your Vitamix and blend until smooth.

Optional: add 1/2- to 1-inch of fresh ginger root

Make it green: Add two cups of spinach, frozen or lightly steamed if fresh and increase yogurt or kefir to 2 cups.

Pink & Green Smoothie

2 cups spinach, frozen or lightly steamed if using fresh

1 pink grapefruit, peeled, seeds intact

1 1/2 cups yogurt or kefir of your choice

1/2 cup water

Add all ingredients to container and blend until smooth.

Cranberry Apple Ginger Juice

1 cup cranberries

1 apple, cored, cut into chunks, peel on

1/2- to 1-inch gingerroot

water

ice, optional

Add the cranberries, apple, and ginger to the Vitamix. Starting with 1 cup of water, blend until smooth.

Add more water as necessary to reach desired consistency.
