I am prone to sinus infections, especially when the seasons change. During the transitional months, I try to limit my intake of dairy and increase liver helpers. Lemon is one of those helpers. I also notice that most people discard their beet greens. And then go buy Swiss chard. (shaking my head). All of the ingredients here have healing properties that aid the digestive, lymphatic, and immune systems.
one bunch beet greens
2 lemons, peeled, seeds intact
fresh ginger to taste
honey to taste
1 1/2 cups yogurt or kefir
6 ice cubes
blend well until smooth. add more yogurt or water if necessary for the desired consistency.
